APOSTLE'S MESSAGE

Date: October 17, 2021
To all the Saints of God,
Grace and peace be unto all the Saints of God around the World.  As this Coronavirus Pandemic continues, we are continually reminding the Saints of God that we are obeying the magistrates and following the guideline of the health and governmental authorities for the safety of all people.

Health authorities and governmental officials continue to strongly encourage people to wear face coverings in public gatherings and use social distancing, wash your hands, and get tested to help stop the spread of the Covid-19 virus.  In some places wearing face mask is mandatory in indoor public spaces.

We are continuing limited in-person services with face mask, social distancing, temperature checks and Covid-19 testing.  We are also continuing online services through Zoom, Facebook, and YouTube.   In-person Baptism and prayer service are available by attending our local service on site, attending our services on Zoom or emailing your request to:

info@ministersofjesuschrist.com or prayerrequest@ministersofjesuschrist.com.

As we obey the Magistrates, we have complete faith that God will continue to hear our prayers and provide a way for us through these uncertain times.

Romans 13:2-4 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.

TITUS 3:1-2 Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work, To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.

This week’s encouraging words of growth focuses on:

I Shall Not Be Moved From the Word of God (part 1)

By Apostle Dennis G. Smith

The song we sing says, “I shall not be moved just like a tree planted by the waters, I shall not be moved!”

Psalms1:1 – 4   Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.  But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.  And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.  The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.  For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

It should not be hard to understand or receive the saying from someone who is committed to following the word of God that they will stand firm in remaining obedient to the Apostle’s Doctrine.  Someone who will let the anointing of the Holy Ghost keep them in all truth.  Someone who will not be moved from the Word of God.

There are so many opinions and different interpretations of the Bible.  This is why it is inevitable that most people will be confronted with an opinion or doctrine that is based on popular ideas at some point in their life.  Some of the opinions or doctrines will be nothing more that a clever attempt to start a trend among the people of the world in order to gain a crowd or produce a large following for the purpose of merchandizing and making money.  The teaching or opinion may be nothing more than a clever advertising or marketing scheme catering to people who love rebellious and contrary behavior or simply to sell books.  But because so many people are persuaded when they see a large following of people showing their approval of a false teaching, there will be those will follow the false teaching in order to be accepted by the crowd.  This is why the way or path to destruction is so wide.

Matthew 7:13 - 14 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:   Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

When we learn to focus on the truth based on what God sent through his Apostles and Prophets we narrow or filter the things that can influence us.  We also narrow the things that can cause us to go down the wrong path.  As a result we can see the clear choices of the roads in life that are before us.  As an example we can see that there are actually two choices to ultimately decide upon and they are simply to choose between doing good or evil.  To choose between following good or evil.  To choose between obeying the truth being taught by those who preach the Apostle’s Doctrine or disobeying the truth by giving in to those who are teaching lies which will cause them to descend into hell.

Isaiah 5:13 - 14 Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst.  Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it.

When we narrow down our search to find the truth to obeying the Apostle’s Doctrine and eliminate the opinion of men, our eyes and understanding becomes open and we can now see the one Church, the one plan of salvation, and the one and only way to the one God Almighty who is the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  You will no longer be toss about on every wind of doctrine or the opinions of men who have received nothing from God Almighty but who insisted on injecting their wicked thought process upon the people of the world.

Romans 1:28 -  32  And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;  Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,  Without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:  Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

Psalm 1 reveals the way of the righteous and the way of the wicked.  Psalms 1 also makes it clear about what will happen to those who do not obey the Law of God and the benefit of those who do obey the Law of God.  Psalms 1 emphasizes that the one who meditates on the Law of God will prosper.

Psalms 1 reveals that the righteous man should delight in the Law of God and that it should not depart from his mouth, but you shall meditate in the Law of God day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it.  For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success in your life.

The righteous person is one who takes care to know the laws of God and that by following the laws of God will develop good judgment and learn the ways of evil people to keep from wicked company. The result is the ability to withstand difficult times in life supported by God's protection.  On the other hand, the wicked person's behavior makes them vulnerable to disaster, like chaff blowing away in the wind. The point also indicated is that wicked people and the righteous people have a different final destination at the judgment  indicating that the ways of wicked people leads them to destruction and the ways of righteous people causes them to prosper in the presence of God Almighty for eternity. The path that wicked people have chosen leads to destruction, and they will receive the payment for choices that they have made in eternal damnation.

The righteous man is compared to a tree planted by a river of water. His harvest is plentiful, and whatever he does flourishes. The Prophet Jeremiah wrote : “But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots near the water in the river. ”  “It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green.  It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.” Jeremiah teaches us that a great benefit and a great advantage of trusting in the LORD is the ability to withstand difficult times in our life.

Jeremiah 17:7 – 8   Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.  For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

Now from the word of God all people can see and understand that anyone who does not teach or follow the Apostle’s Doctrines were never sent by God Almighty and were never a part of the One Church which is the only way to be saved.

Jeremiah 23:21 – 24   I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied.  But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings.  Am I a God at hand, saith the LORD, and not a God afar off?  Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him?

We continue with a Message from Apostle S. C. Johnson … “One Way to God, One Church” ………

One Way to God, One Church (part 1)
By Bishop S. C. Johnson

After singing "One Way to God" Bishop states, this is The Church the bible talks about. Do you want to know about, "The Church" and its characteristics? Just look in the bible. No other church can tell you that because there is no other church found in the bible but this one.

Someone may say, anyone can say that. To prove what I say, check up on all I say and see if it is in the bible and then if you hear anyone else say so and it is not just like this, then check up on what they say, and you will find much that is not in the bible. Check up on me. I say, Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith is the ONLY Church. This church “was spoken” of down through the bible, both in the Old Testament and the New Testament.

"Now I am here to let you know what you must do. Every one of you. I told you that everyone under the sun must come into this church. It does not make any difference what church you are in or how you love it.  If your grandmother started it, you must come out of it and come into this church.  If you, do not you are going to hell.

Yes, get ready and I will prove that now. Amen.  I am ready to do it.  Check up on me.  I say everyone must come out of the church you are in. I do not care what kind it is; you must come out and come over here. If you do not come into this church which the bible spoke of in the Old and New Testament, you can worship all you want to, sing all you want to, but you will end up in hell because God never had but one Church. He had them talking about this one when he was on his way from heaven to the earth.

Follow me now, for I say every church in the world is a false church and every preacher in these churches is a false prophet and everyone that stays in these false churches is a hypocrite. Did you get that good? I say every church is a false church.

You ask, “Which one, Bishop Johnson?"
Didn’t you understand me? I said every church is a false church and every preacher in the church is a false prophet and everyone that belongs to it and stays there after they hear me, is a hypocrite! I hope you get that well. Now I am going to work and prove what I said that every human must come into this church Every human! I do not care who you are, you are coming into this Church.

Isaiah 2:2-3. "And it shall “come to pass” in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord's house shall be established in the top of the mountains and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. And many people shall go and say, come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths; for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.”

Let us take bible for it all the way through. I am going to start it with bible, have bible in the middle and when I end up, I am going to end up with bible. Ignore it, let your pride make you ignore it, let the devil exalt you and puff you up, but the day will come when you come to God you had, humbled yourself, but God will humble you. It is better for you to do it than for him to do it. “The loftiness of men shall, be brought, low, saith the Lord.”

“And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down and the haughtiness of men shall be made low, and the Lord alone shall' be exalted in that day. Isaiah 2:17.

All right proud hearts and hell-bound folks that don't hearken to God's word, but remember, "The grass withereth and the flower fadeth, but the word of our God shall stand forever." Isaiah 40:8

Oh, the loftiness of man. You can be lofty and put on your pin to whatever order you belong, but what does the bible say here? "The loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low, and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day."
You see, the thing that I have has creation sewn-up.

Now, let us go back to Isaiah 2:2-3. “And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord's house shall be established in the top of the mountains and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths; for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem."

That was, written before I got here. You can't charge me with it and say, that is what Johnson said. No! No! I wasn't here. It was long before I got here.
Now get this: "The mountain of the Lord's house shall be established in the top of the mountain. It is going to be above everything. Didn't I tell you everyone must come into this church. Didn't I tell you It is not going to exempt any nation. It says, "All nations:" "ALL NATIONS SHALL FLOW UNTO IT." UNTO IT! UNTO IT!

Someone may ask. "Does everyone have to get into that church which Bishop Johnson is; in?" Don’t you hear the scripture talking? Don’t ask me anything, just read with me.

"And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord's house shall be established in the top of the mountains and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it."

Someone is going to move now. The false prophets are going to move. Amen. “You have to move,” and if you do not move, you are just as sure for hell as though you were already there.
Who is this talking? It is not Bishop Johnson, but God talking.  He has an order here. a rule, one thing for everyone. Don't you hear the scripture talking? Listen to this. It sounds good. It is going to break up the folly ground of every church in the world.

And it shall, “come to pass” in the last days” that the mountain of the Lord's house shall be established in the top of the mountains and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it."

We continue with these messages in part 2………….

May the Lord Bless you and Keep you and eternally hold you in the center of his will, may he open your understanding that you will come to know that you must repent of your sins and be baptized by immersion in water in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins, then continue in prayer, tarrying until you receive the gift of the Holy Ghost with the sign following speaking with other tongues as the spirit gives you utterances.  Then you must leave the principles of the doctrine and go on to perfection overcoming the love of the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life and continue steadfastly in the Apostle’s Doctrine remembering always that he that endures until the End, the same shall be saved.  In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ who is God Almighty. Amen

With perfect love,
Apostle Dennis G. Smith

Currently the following groups are eligible for COVID vaccine in Georgia:
Everyone age 12 and older.  Note: Pfizer is the only COVID vaccine currently approved for children aged 12 and older. People younger than 18 years of age are not authorized to receive either the Moderna or Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines.

 ONGOING GUIDANCE for Yellow Zone
• Vaccination remains the most effective protection against COVID-19
• Practice social distancing
• Frequently wash hands
• Frequent cleaning of public and high touch areas
• Practice telework and staggered office schedules where feasible, with safety measures
• Non-essential City facilities may open to the public. Masking will be mandated for now and the number of persons indoors may be limited to avoid crowding

Social Distancing guidelines:
• Social distancing means staying away from close contact in public spaces. It includes actions like staying out of places where lots of people gather and maintaining distance — approximately 6 feet — from others.
• Social distancing also includes minimizing contact with people when possible, limiting nonessential travel, working from home, and skipping social gatherings.
• All people should practice social distancing — not just those who are seriously ill or at high risk.
• Social distancing is a proven way to slow the spread of pandemics.

When to Wear a Mask:
Those who are staying home and have no close contact with people who are infected with COIVID-19 do not need a mask most of the time. However, wearing a nonmedical or homemade mask may be helpful in certain situations or for certain populations. Wear a Mask when:
• Shopping at essential businesses, like grocery stores or pharmacies.
• While visiting your health care provider.
• Traveling on public transportation.
• Interacting with customers/clients at essential businesses.
• When feeling sick, coughing, or sneezing.
• In all public spaces indoors and outdoors.

Because homemade masks protect everyone else from the droplets created by the wearer, it is important that as many people as possible wear these masks when leaving their homes. This helps prevent those who may be infectious but are only mildly symptomatic or not symptomatic from spreading the virus to others in the community.
Everyone should remember the phrase: “My mask protects you; your mask protects me.” By increasing the overall number of people who are containing their coughs, sneezes, and other droplets, it will help us control the overall spread of the virus.
