APOSTLE'S MESSAGE

Date: May 22, 2022

To all the Saints of God,

Grace and peace be unto all the Saints of God around the World.  As this Coronavirus Pandemic continues, we are continually reminding the Saints of God that we are obeying the magistrates and following the guideline of the health and governmental authorities for the safety of all people.

Health authorities and governmental officials continue to strongly encourage people to wear face coverings in public gatherings and use social distancing, wash your hands, and get tested to help stop the spread of the Covid-19 virus.  In some places wearing face mask is mandatory in indoor public spaces.

You may attend indoor, in-person services with face mask, social distancing, temperature checks and Covid-19 testing. We are also continuing online services through Zoom, Facebook, and YouTube.   In-person Baptism and prayer service are available by attending our local service on site, by attending our services on Zoom, or emailing your request to:

info@ministersofjesuschrist.com or prayerrequest@ministersofjesuschrist.com.

As we obey the Magistrates, we have complete faith that God will continue to hear our prayers and provide a way for us through these uncertain times.

Romans 13:2-4 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.

TITUS 3:1-2 Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work, To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.

This week’s encouraging words of growth focuses on:

Happy Parent’s Day 2022, “The Role of Leadership is for all People”!!

Parenting also known as raising up a child is the process of promoting and supporting the physical, emotional, social, financial, and intellectual development of a child from infancy to adulthood. Parenting refers to all the things that an adult must do to raise up a child to be a healthy productive adult.

The Child may be born of the parents, adopted by the parent, in the care of the parent because of life circumstances, or in a group home setting but the role of the parents remains the same regardless of the situation in which the child may have been born or is living in each day.

The parents are the caregivers of the offspring born to all species of creatures. In humans, the parents are the caretaker of the children or offspring born to human beings. In taking care of the offspring, the parents must obtain or have knowledge of how to lead, guide, and protect the child or children. Because it is necessary for the survivor of all humankind, eventually all human beings must learn some caretaking or parenting skills which means that all people are destined to obtain the skills to become leaders at some point in their lives.

Leadership is the skill or the ability of an individual, group, or organization to lead or guide other individuals, teams, organizations and most all the human family members. This guidance seeks to provide for the health, welfare, prosperity, and progress of the followers. When we examine our lives, we can see that all of us are destined to the role of followers and leaders at some point in our lives. This is because we are the offspring of God, and he has set an order for all creation that we must follow.

Acts 17:28 - 31 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. Acts 17:29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device. Acts 17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men everywhere to repent:  Acts 17:31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

We must learn to become good followers of righteous leaders which will cause us to teach each other the things that are necessary for a successful life. This is one of the things that we emphasize on Parent’s Day in teaching the Children to obey their parents or caretaker so that they will become good and successful leaders themselves.  When all Children learn to follow the righteous instructions from the bible taught by Godly teachers and given by their parents or caretakers, they develop the skills to become good parents, good caretakers, and as a result good leaders themselves.  The Children learn the order of the Church, the order of the home, and the governmental order of all human society.

1Corinthians 11:1 - 3 Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ. 1Corinthians 11:2 Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you. 1Corinthians 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

When we know the Godly order of all creation, there is no need to debate who has the role of leadership and service in the family, in the Church and in all human governmental institutions. All that we need to do is to examine ourselves and see whether or not we are functioning according to the preset order of God Almighty.  Those who are the greatest among us will become the Chief servants of us all.

Matthew 20:25 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them. Matthew 20:26 But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; Matthew 20:27 And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:  Matthew 20:28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Because great leaders are the chief servants among all human society, we must always strive to be the best role models for the present generation and the next generation of people both young and old who will follow in our footsteps in achieving salvation through the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and a peaceful, kind and loving neighborhood in which all humankind can live and grow together. A role model is a person whose behaviour, example, and successful lifestyle is repeated by all other people both young and old to promote the peaceful wellbeing of all life. This is what our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ did for all humankind. The Lord Jesus Christ sent us to testify in the Churches that he gave his life as a ransom for many. We must all follow in his footsteps by obeying his commandments and lead others to this well of living waters which will give them eternal life and joy. We must raise up the children in the word of God.

John 4:10 - 13 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water. John 4:11 The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?  John 4:12 Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?  John 4:13 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:  John 4:14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

Revelations 22:16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

We will continue the examination of the topic " Is Jesus Christ the Son of God Now?" … next week.

May the Lord Bless you and Keep you and eternally hold you in the center of his will.

May he open your understanding that you will come to know that you must repent of your sins and be baptized by immersion in water in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins.

Then you must continue in prayer to God asking him for the Holy Ghost, calling on the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ and waiting or tarrying until you receive the gift of the Holy Ghost with the sign following speaking with other tongues as the spirit gives you utterances.

Then you must leave the principles of the doctrine and go on to perfection overcoming the love of the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life.

Then you must continue steadfastly in the Apostle’s Doctrine remembering always that he that endures until the End, the same shall be saved.  In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ who is God Almighty. Amen

With perfect love,

Apostle Dennis G. Smith

 ONGOING GUIDANCE

• Vaccination remains the most effective protection against COVID-19

• Practice social distancing

• Frequently wash hands

• Frequent cleaning of public and high touch areas

Social Distancing guidelines:

• Social distancing means staying away from close contact in public spaces. It includes actions like staying out of places where lots of people gather and maintaining distance — approximately 6 feet — from others.

• Social distancing also includes minimizing contact with people when possible, limiting nonessential travel, working from home, and minimizing social gatherings.

• All people should practice social distancing — not just those who are seriously ill or at high risk.

• Social distancing is a proven way to slow the spread of pandemics.

When to Wear a Mask:

Those who are staying home and have no close contact with people who are infected with COIVID-19 do not need a mask most of the time. However, wearing a nonmedical or homemade mask may be helpful in certain situations or for certain populations. Wear a Mask when:

• Shopping at essential businesses, like grocery stores or pharmacies.

• While visiting your health care provider.

• Traveling on public transportation.

• Interacting with customers/clients at essential businesses.

• When feeling sick, coughing, or sneezing.

• In all public spaces indoors and outdoors.

Because homemade masks protect everyone else from the droplets created by the wearer, it is important that as many people as possible wear these masks when leaving their homes. This helps prevent those who may be infectious but are only mildly symptomatic or not symptomatic from spreading the virus to others in the community.

Everyone should remember the phrase: “My mask protects you; your mask protects me.” By increasing the overall number of people who are containing their coughs, sneezes, and other droplets, it will help us control the overall spread of the virus.
